STEPHEN M. TEICH, M.D.
Dr. Stephen M. Teich is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. He has been on the staff of Abington Memorial Hospital since 1983. He attended the University of Rochester for undergraduate training, graduating cum laude, followed by four years of medical school at the State University of New York’s Downstate Medical Center. He served as medical intern and resident at Manhattan’s St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center followed by cardiology fellowship at the Georgetown University/Washington, D.C. VA Hospital program. His experiences at Abington Memorial Hospital have been widespread, having worked in the cardiac catheterization lab, the operating room inserting pacemakers, in addition to office and hospital based direct care. He has served on the pharmacy, CCU, and peer review committees and has been recognized for his teaching activities by the resident staff of AMH, by the hospital administration and by medical students on rotation at Abington. He is particularly proud of the Blockley-Osler Award bestowed upon him by Temple University School of Medicine and a Top Doctor Award from Philadelphia Magazine, recognizing him for excellence in care of the geriatric cardiology patient as voted upon by his peers.
